Who We Are

PACU WA AFRIKA BUILDING SOCIETY (PABS) is a non-profit organization committed to community empowerment, protection of vulnerable groups, and sustainable development.

We are based in Northern Uganda, and we work with communities to deliver inclusive programs that reduce inequality, strengthen livelihoods, and advance social justice.

Our Background

PABS was founded to respond to persistent socio-economic challenges affecting communities, including poverty, limited access to education, gender-based violence, disability exclusion, and climate vulnerability. Our approach centers on local leadership, participation of youth and women, and partnerships that sustain long-term change.

Vision: To become a leading community-driven institution transforming lives through equitable development, social justice, and sustainable empowerment initiatives.

Mission: To promote community empowerment through sustainable socio-economic programs, rights-based advocacy, and equitable development initiatives aimed at eradicating poverty, reducing inequality, and advancing social justice.

Our Objectives

Our main objective is to promote sustainable community development through poverty reduction initiatives, improved access to education, protection of vulnerable groups, advancement of gender equality, and strengthening environmental sustainability through inclusive participation of youth and women.

Livelihood support, savings, and income-generating programs for households.

Education Access

Mentorship, scholarships, and pathways that keep children and youth in school.

Gender-Based Violence Prevention

Prevention, survivor support, and community awareness to promote safety and dignity.
